Each lantern's parts are cut, bent, and soldered by a craftsman employing his own unique skills. We pride ourselves in using original manufacturing methods with tools and machines that are operated by manpower. When complete each craftsman signs off on the fixture he has produced to reflect his pride and take ownership of the quality in the piece he has produced. Once the fixture has its basic frame the finishingdepartment takes every light and adds one of our seven antique finishes. This process can take anywhere from a half an hour to a couple of hours depending on the desired finish. The fixtures are then off to the final stage in the process, the wiring department. Here the fixtures are again hand rubbed to achieve the antique finish and consistent appearance. The electrical is appropriately placed into the fixtures and approved for UL requirements. Glass is the last item to be added. Each fixture gets one last quality check before it's off to the shipping department where it is meticulously packaged and shipped to you.
